Well the father of the both of them was a BEW carrier so they have a chance of carrying it too I guess. Just have to wait and see Tongue.
And both of them have headspots Smiley.
I want a cinnamon dammit! Or an argente, with a BIG headspot, or a blaze Cheesy

Picky.....25% statistically of the babies will be BEWs....is that better typoed? Smiley

Better indeed! In fact, I'd even say it was typed rather than typoed! Wink

Ingrid: Blazed agouti dilutes are so 2009 Wink (then again, Sdaji being a bastard, arrogant tease is so 80s Wink Laughing emoshicon )

I'm too lazy, you'll have to either point out my error or leave me feeling all awesome and stuff Wink Laughing emoshicon

(to any of the newer members who don't yet know me well enough, no, I don't actually take myself seriously when I'm like this Wink Laughing emoshicon )

If one or both of the parents have headspots then you have a chance of getting face markings of some sort, if both parents have headspots and those headspots are caused by the BEW gene then you will also have a 25% chance of getting BEWs and 50% will have face markings and the last 25% will have no face markings.

Pretty close! If both of their headspots are caused by n (the "BEW" allele - all rats have two copies of the gene, but not all have the n allele of this gene) you have an almost 100% chance of getting byoos. I know you know what you're talking about, you just typoed it wrong Wink
Who typoed first lol

Are you talking about my use of the word "typoed"? That was deliberate. I was saying you'd made a typo, "typoed" being the past tense of the word in the verb sense. I suppose I should be putting "(sic)" after non standard words like that, but call me lazy. Just make sure you call me freaking awesome before you call me lazy.

Line breeding/inbreeding is the only way to produce a line Smiley

If the line is strong and healthy nothing wrong with line breeding at all it should if done correctly weed out any problems and enhance the characteristics you want enhanced, if the line has problems it will show them up and give you a much better idea of what the problems are.
